The Society of Applied Geoscientists and Engineers (SAGE) is a non-profit 501(c)(6) professional organization, whose mission is to advance the professions of applied geoscience and engineering through research, scholarship, and enjoyment. We are a member-focused organization striving to provide high value at an affordable cost whether you’re a professional, student, or even just a casual learner.
Announcing OPEN-ACCESS RELEASE of our entire SAGE Record of Proceedings!
SAGE is pleased to announce the open-access release all articles published in our SAGE Record event proceedings volume. The SAGE Record serves as our record of proceedings with this archival release covering our SAGE 2022 hybrid conference, SAGE/ESSL (Earth Science Society of Libya) Benghazi International Geoscience and Engineering Conference (BIGEC) 2022 hybrid conference, and SAGE Applied Geoscience and Engineering Symposia 1 through 5 (SAGE AGES 1–5). This release includes over 100 publications (abstracts, extended abstracts, and papers) and over 100 supplemental documents (slide decks, posters, and video recordings).

Our key initiative to advance the applied geosciences and engineering details is a focused effort to engage the future of our industries. SAGEkids & SAGEteens plans to develop multiple aspects to educate and inspire young minds, while also improving diversity, equality, and inclusion, through online resources, guest lectures, mentorship, science fairs, and so on. SAGE Publications
As part of SAGE’s mission to foster research, scholarship, and enjoyment of the applied geoscience and engineers fields, we are developing a series of publications, including the SAGE MAGE, our newsleter magazine; the SAGE Record, our conference proceedings volume; Applied-Geoscience, an open access, peer reviewed publication linking geoscience to application; the Journal of Energy Geoscience & Technology, an open access, peer reviewed journal on energy studies; the Journal of Downhole Engineering & Geoscience, an open access, peer reviewed journal on downhole studies; a Special Publication volume series; a Memoir volume series; SAGEkids Research & SAGEteens Research, our journals highlighting K–12 research; and more to be announced as we continue to build our Society.

SAGE proudly announces its support as a key sponsor of GeoGulf 2025 (74th GCAGS/GCSSSEPM/AAPGGCS conference) to be held 6–8 April 2025 at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas, continuing our long-term support of GeoGulf since 2019. The call for papers for this important Gulf Coast event is currently open at geogulf2025.org.
